Dent Town Trail
Join us for a 1½ mile (2.4km) walk around Dent village to discover its fascinating history. The walk will include the history of the village, a look at some of its historic buildings along with the tales of the dent Vampire and the Terrible Knitters.
It’s hard to believe that such a tranquil village, with its modern meditation centre, was a very crowded place just over 100 years ago, with busy shops, pubs and banks, a town crier and a market place. Nowadays the Dent Brewery, probably one of the remotest breweries in Britain, proves a great draw for real ale connoisseurs and makes a perfect end to your walk!
A level 1 YDNPA walk which is barrier free and mostly flat, but part of the walk is on cobbled streets.
Dogs welcome on a short fixed lead.
Places limited, booking advisable through Hawes National Park Centre.
Free for age 18 and under
