History of Lead Mining on Grassington Moor
Join Stuart Ballard on this 4 mile (6.4km) guided walk and discover why this corner of the Yorkshire Dales National Park became a place of heavy industry. We will visit the well preserved remains of shafts, adits, ore dressing, peat cutting, reprocessing and much more; and the views over Grassington are stunning.
A level 2 YDNPA walk; the route is barrier free and accessible to wheelchairs, please see website for details. The site is exposed please wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear with good grips.
Dogs allowed on short (2m) fixed leads.
