Senses by Starlight
Wednesday 14 February
Aysgarth National Park Centre and Freeholders Wood
17:30 - 19:30
Come and explore how nocturnal creatures might use their senses to live and move in the wood after dark. How can we use our senses, to become like the nocturnal creatures within our woodland? Let your senses lead you on a journey of discovery to love the woods at night! Make a hide to stay quiet and undetected by woodland inhabitants. Make a lure to create your own animal footprint trap. Make a sensory trail for others to follow in the dark – using touch or night vision (blindfold), use tools for whittling something to take home. Cook something tasty on the fire and enjoy the taste, as you relax in the ambience of the fire, while listening to a seasonal story.
