The Erratic Boulders of Norber
A 4½ mile (7km) walk from Clapham to wander among the famous Norber Erratics – huge boulders carried here by an Ice Age glacier. Where did they come from? We will also visit Nappa Scar where we will see evidence of an ancient sea. Hear about the Craven Faults and their dramatic effect on the landscape. And we will glimpse into beautiful but little known Crummackdale with its fossil waterfall.
There is one steep climb on to Norber Brow and one moderately exposed section at Nappa Scar. There are stiles on the route.
Walk starts from Clapham National Park Car Park, LA2 8EQ.
