Whey Hey!

Whey Hey!

  • £300

Children are free, but we need to know how many people in total to expect.

Join us on a guided walk led by our Dales Volunteers, starting at the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes. We’ll stop by the Dales Countryside Museum to see historic milking exhibits, before heading out along the Pennine Way to Hardraw. Will learn about the history of milking in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and how local farmers provide milk for the Wensleydale Creamery and, depending on the length of the Museum visit and talk, we’ll return either via Simonstone and Sedbusk or the Pennine Way. Cost of Museum visit included in the charge.

A level 2 YDNPA walk; the route includes stiles, uneven ground and slight gradients across open countryside. Please wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear with good grips.

Dogs not allowed. (Assistance dogs welcome)

Places limited, booking advisable from Hawes National Park Centre.

Free for age 18 and under
